    When rentals lease

Bend houses: average leases per month and median rent at lease, by calendar month since August 2022. Only months with 8 or more leases are counted.

Not enough months with 8 or more leases to show a seasonal pattern yet.

Labels above each bar show the median rent at lease. Recent years have more tracked listings, so busier months partly reflect when our coverage grew.

    How we count

A home counts as leased when its listing comes down after at least 4 days on the market. Duplicate listings, stale ads and suspect prices are left out.

    Frozen every month

Each month's numbers are locked on the 5th of the next month and never quietly change. Corrections are published as a new version with a note.
